With Yourself

Welcome

Hi my name is Sula. I’m based in London, UK and having been a practitioner since the mid 1980’s, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt – it’s that bodies talk and I’m here to listen.

I believe that everyone can benefit from the benefits of nurturing touch that’s informed by deep respect for the reality that ‘the body keeps the score’ of everything we experience.

What I Offer

In a quiet and peaceful environment I offer non-invasive, hands-on modalities, that honour the intelligence of your body.

I use ‘listening’ touch to get an overall impression of your body’s expression of health as well as patterns of tension and disturbance that may be blocking healthy flow.

The modalities I work with enable the healing forces that maintain the body-mind to operate more smoothly and fluently. They are also well known for being efficient and effective at helping a wide range of conditions from simple aches and pains, to more persistent conditions that may not have responded to other forms of treatment and seem to have no apparent cause.

The modalities I offer combine well with most healing modalities including psychotherapeutic work.

I work with people of all ages and especially love working with women on the journey to Motherhood and providing care for family members from babies, to teens, adults and elders.

Beginnings…

I came to this work in a way that many people do – through health challenges which set me on an independent learning track that led me to the study of various healing arts including bodywork.

I initially trained in therapeutic massage in the mid 1980’s whilst studying at LCF London UK from 1984 – 1987 and began practising in 1988.

I met my first major teacher the late William ‘Dub’ Leigh (USA) in the early 1990’s and through the study and practice of deep tissue structural bodywork which enabled me to experience how our physical emotional and spiritual well-being are deeply connected.

Less Can Be More

Following a whiplash injury in the early 1990’s, Craniosacral Therapy helped me to recover without the long term effects which can occur if left untreated or inadequately addressed. Coming from a background in deep tissue bodywork the realization that such a gentle approach could be so efficient and effective was a huge education.

With my eyes opened to the scope of a gentler approach I took my first class in Craniosacral Therapy at CTET London in 1994. I completed the Polarity Therapy practitioner training with Morag Campbell and Phil Young of Masterworks International in 1999 and the Polarity Therapy instructor training in 2023.

These time tested methods have greatly improved my ability to assess and treat in a more individualized, precise and holistic way.
